A fun place for my daughter and I to post artwork and what ever else we wish to share.

About me

User: Johntk1
Name: JK
I am a student at UMA. I am also a proud fulltime single dad, my daughter Olivia (age 9) is smarter than me, I just haven’t told her yet. Self improvement is very important to me, after all why are we really here if not to make the very best of what we have. Music is a huge part of my life. I learned to play guitar at age 14. I find a way to make music a part of my life every day. I also love movies and video games, great restaurants/great food/cooking, reading, board games, hiking, swimming and who knows what else, I am not done yet.

Olivia's award winning Essay

Olivia won the Terrific Kid Award for the entire 3rd grade in her school. She got to read this at the Elks Club, and at her graduation.

I think a terrific kid is someone who will tell if something is wrong, or if they're a trust worthy person. I think a terrific kid is honest, truthful and an organized person. They use strategies in different ways. I think they would have an open heart and choose whats right than to lie.

I think to be a terrific kid you should show respect to your parents, teachers and anyone you can think of, including yourself. I think a terrific kid will try and try and try, until they get the right answer, weather its reading writing or math. I think that if you help thats a real job.

The other day I saw someone fall off the swings, his friend told a teacher and helped him get an ice pack.

Some people read, read and read until their eyes pop out of their heads, which is good.

I think that if you put your mind to it, you too, can be a terrific Kid.

Olivia, 9 years old

I am so proud her, I see proof in this that she understands more than we think. She is so smart. I love the try and try and try until you get the right answer part. She really does that.

She was not nervous at all!

With all of love in my heart..... this is my daughter.
